The Path to Excellence

  • Pathway Forward

High performance is now mainstream and has a secure pathway forward on the international stage. If you dream of representing the USA and competing against the best sailors in the world take a look at the skiff and other performance classes. The competitive sailing classes that have been chosen for the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games are men’s skiff and women’s skiff and foiling mixed multi-hull.

Internationally, all the top sailing nations are sending their top youth into the high performance classes. The future of sailing is fast.

  • Elite Achievement

Each year athletes from our program are recruited to the Ivy League. That’s because the 29er challenges sailors beyond traditional classes.

If a sailor can succeed in a complex and challenging boat like the 29er, they are well prepared for collegiate dinghies.

Our Alumni network within the skiff community ties our athletes to the elite of our sport.

  • 29er Specs

World class teams in the 29er hit specific height/weight parameters in the boat.

    Female

Skipper 110-130 lbs Crew 135-160 lbs

    Male teams

Skipper 115-135 lbs Crew 135-165 lbs

Can you succeed outside this paradigm? Of course, hard work and smarts wins most races.

How to get started.
